A-Check Mate

We make the most of our clients extended aircraft ground time during their presence at their main base in CDG to carry out A-Check and light maintenance operations. These operations are strategically spread across multiple stopovers, allowing us to optimize ground time and make steady progresses through the maintenance program.

Take, for example, March 18, 2025, when we performed an A-Check on a Boeing 777 operated by CMA CGM Air Cargo. As soon as the aircraft arrived at 5:30 am, our team began with the routine weekly inspection. The A-Check itself got underway at 6:30 am, with the workload efficiently divided among our engineers.

The team was split into several groups to work in parallel on the nose landing gear, the left engine, the main cargo deck, and the replacement of the emergency escape slide.

All tasks, including the escape slide replacement, a particularly sensitive procedure requiring specific safety procedures, were completed by 2:00 p.m. Once the documentation was signed and sent to the client, the aircraft was prepared for its evening departure with a pre-departure check and refuelling.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without thorough planning ahead of time: careful scheduling of the work, anticipating tooling and consumable needs, and seamless coordination with the airline’s logistics team. This preparation ensured everything ran smoothly, with all resources in place to carry out the operation under ideal conditions.

We maintain this momentum with new A-checks scheduled every two weeks, continuing to build on this efficient maintenance rhythm.
